I saw this when it was first aired and seriously thought I was going to bust a nut laughing or something. I had just the hardest time wrapping my head around what I was seeing, and that it was real.

Not at all, he was just trying to get back into character. He'd temporarily lost it watching the bit with "This one wants more quarters" and was just standing off to the side laughing his ass off. So it was just his way to get back into character.
