Printer not printing right away...

I have an Epson R300 printer and when I try to print something it doesn't print out right away. It is only after I shut off my computer and restart it, it will print. If I remember correctly, it started doing this after I updated the driver. Any ideas on what might be causing it?

The driver???? Just kidding...

Check to see if you have turned on any spooling or caching options on your printer settings. It sounds like it is printing to a spool, and when the computer is reset it sees items in the spool and dumps them accordingly.

It is set to spool....what is the default setting for most printers?

Mine is also set to spool, but also selected is to start printing immediately. This is under Windows XP.

I have mine set to print immediately too, but it doesn't.....I am not sure why though
