If you're looking at that, look also at the Olympus C70.

My sister in law has one, and is very impressed (not difficult). It is comparable with my IXUS 500, with which you will no doubt remember from the Amersfoort meet, am also highly impressed with. Both are good cameras. Worth the money.

Yeah I think I'll get the Ixus 500 or maybe the new 700.

So... compact flash cards? I'll start another post

With the Ixus 500, what is the delay like when taking a photo? Is there a huge lag between pressing the button to take a photo and the image being recorded?

Also what kind of CF card would you recommend?

I've got an Ixus 500, there is setting in the menu called Quick Shot which you can set. However I've found it very fast in either mode, startup is quick too. It also has a fast shutter mode which will fire off a load of shots in quick sucession which get buffered up and written to the CF card.

The 700 looks good, the bit that looks really cool is the 60FPS slowmo video capture mode.

As for the CF card, I just bought a 1GB card from Scan for about £40, seems fine.
