Introducing: Rowan & Robin

Introducing: Rowan & Robin - 02/06/2005 19:09

Our two original cats recently passed-on (K2 in fall'04, Annapurrrna in summer'03), and so this winter SWMBO acquired two new kittens to keep the place lively.

This one (attached) is Rowan, our resident "Adventure Kitty".

Her main hobby seems to be climbing trees (photo, 20m high), but we also find her on the roof of our house twice daily, despite there being no obviously easy way up there.

And this one (also attached) is Robin, the new backyard Huntress-Supremo.

Her main hobbies are following SWMBO around the garden, catching mosquitos (photo), and terrifying the normally complacent backyard squirrel population.

Thanks. The photo actually includes the mosquito, too -- the little black speck just left of her chin. She thought it tasted quite yummy afterward.

[EDIT] 1:1 crop of Robin & Prey attached

Cheers

Nice cats! I like the blurred paw especially.

(Still trying to figure out what the WMB could mean inbetween the S & O...
With My Blessing?
What Might Be?
White Male Bashing?
Without Meaning Business?
Hmm- maybe I should check the FAQ...)

Given the examples, I'm wondering what you thought the S and O were

The cats are great. They're adorable and those shots are really good. I wish mine was as playful, but after 19 years I suppose that's to be expected.

Ah- googled it and was enlightened. Thanks for clarification, pgrzelak.
I was thinking it was an adaptation of 'Significant Other'.

Great cats, great action shot.

Thankfully our smaller cat, Cookie, doesn't climb that high (in fact we don't have trees that big round here). She does however of seeming to forget how to climb down the tree again until she hears the sound of her favourite treats being shaken...

Our latest rescue cat Sam had really settled in now, after a very nervy start (couldn't convince him to leave the house for the first month he was allowed out). See relaxed attachment...

Hey, he kinda looks like a possible distant relative of R&R!

And great lichen on those stones -- gardeners over here drool for such stuff.

I had noticed the similarity...

Ah, yes. I am in two minds over that, it looks great but as soon as it gets wet those slabs turn into a green ice rink. At some point I'll probably have to buy a pressure washer and deal with it.

We had someone in to deal with our huge block paving driveway, I barely recognised the house after I came home and found this difference:
