Does anyone else read Penny Arcade? And does anyone else notice how frequently Tycho links the wrong comic?

How the fuck difficult is it to not type in the wrong date?

Sorry. Rant over.

Yup, I notice that, too.

I also hate how their website redesign now causes a long pause for me as the page loads. I wonder why, is there java or flash or something in the top bar?

On the positive side, I think Tycho's recent post about his new baby was utterly brilliant and moving.

"It's me, I'm the one who sang to you".

My guess would be that he doesn't type in a date at all, but that the CMS automatically puts in the date of the most recent comic at the time of his posting, causing a race condition (when Tycho puts up the post before Gabe puts up the comic, you get a link to the previous one instead).

Or something.

Well, a few posts ago he was "complaining" that he hadn't yet gotten used to not typing in HTML by hand, so, even if that's the case now, I'm thinking it wasn't the case a month ago, and this is not a new occurrence.

Yeah, I love PA. And I agree with the linking thing as well as the post about Tycho's child.

Those guys get a lot of points for the stuff they do. Everything about the Jack Thompson controversy, Child's Play, and I happen to think the comics are hilarious as well.

Oh, and if you haven't seen their Splinter Cell comic series, check it out.

Oh yeah, I really enjoy almost everything they do. I wasn't trying to insinuate otherwise. (I wouldn't notice this trend if I didn't.) I was just complaining about their habitual inability to make their website work properly.

Heh, don't worry, I know where you were coming from. And whenever that happens it's an easy matter of clicking "next" to get the next comic. But yeah, it's annoying.

Even with the new web site, they're still getting it wrong. Today marks the second comic in a row that they linked to http://www.penny-arcade.com/comics/ instead of the correct http://www.penny-arcade.com/comic/ , resulting in a 404 if you tried to follow their own link.

He's actually got two different links today for some reason, one right, one wrong, immediately adjacent to each other.
