Tube strike?

Tube strike? - 08/01/2006 13:50

Does anybody know 100% whether the tube strike in London (UK ) is actually going ahead?

The RMT website says yes it will. The TFL one is badly broken currently and still says they're negotiating. The tube enquiry line is busy as expected.

If they are on a strike, LUL doesn't even know what stations are open or not!

Argh...

Last I heard on our local news at 4pm was that it was going ahead but negotiations are ongoing.

Dunno. I'm going to work from home tomorrow anyway...

Looks like it's going to go ahead, but LUL are hoping to be able to run a reduced service. Outlying stations are most likely to be affected.

I'm only a 10 minute walk to work

Home is 1 hour door to door from my office

Didn't actually have any trouble getting to work today. All that happened was that the tube train stayed at Russel Square for 5 minutes because of some undisclosed safety reason.

Yes, but is there also a pub on your walk home from work? That's the important question, isn't it?

Surely, if there's a pub on the walk home, then it's not a ten minute walk any more?
