Whom shall God smite?

Whom shall God smite? - 04/02/2007 19:22

Are not the sins of the one the sins of the many? Nay, though you have bent your knee and bowed your head, only some are Chosen and those not so chosen will be laid low. Be assured that He has listened to the false pride of sinners and they will be cast out!

The moment of Judgement is nigh!

Jim, I really don't think this is the proper forum for quoting President Bush. Really now.

I think he's quoting our CEO.

Yes, but this is Jim's thread. These are liberal Colts and Bears, whose alternative lifestyles are accepted.

Ok, that almost killed me.

OK, I admit it. I support Civil Unicorns.

Well, OK, I backed up and read some of the pre-game press. Now, granted, the Colts coach and players were reported to be a pretty prayerful bunch, and they never hesitated to thank you for your help in winning games, both regular season and playoff, but it looks like Bears prayed just as much if not more! How do you explain this?

Don't you know, Jim? It's not how much you pray, it's how hard you pray. The Colts obviously prayed much harder than the Bears.

Pfft. I bet the Bears didn't even properly tithe.

What is it about "Final" you don't get?

You've had at least three revisions of your rules so far. What is it about "Final" you don't get?

I am not sure that these are opinions I would voice within earshot of said Bears. They seem pretty serious about all this praying. They might kill and eat you.

OK, so you're saying "Game Over". But unless you are saying the Bears *didn't* pray as hard, well, at least...why wasn't the game closer???

Brian Urlacher was in commune with the dark one, nullifying all other prayers. Unfortunate decision that.

Closer? So, some nil-nil soccer score for the Superbowl? Do you want a kind and merciful god or not?

Ummmm? Dark one? (research ... research...)

Ah. Paris Hilton. Now that explains *everything*. The Bears can crank out all the TD prayers they want, but I can't think of any all-powerful deities whose comebacks would stand a chance against the negative karma bomb that is Paris.
