I'm going to miss Pimp C

Never heard of him before today.

I had the same reaction, other than mine was, apparently, that I'm getting totally out of touch.

Why do I have the feeling that this is some gigantic practical joke?

When I first clicked on this thread I was shocked that either Big C or C had passed. I was a little relieved to see I just misread the title and it was someone else entirely.

BTW, Big C and C are two guys my fiancée went to high school with in Bolton, Ontario - they're about as well known and relevant as Pimp C.

Because it's a jimhogan thread. I generally feel severely underinformed each time I read one of his.

I saw a news article on Google News about this, the day Jim posted it. My first reaction was "Who the hell is 'Pimp C'?"

OK, I gotta think this over and decide whether to feel: a little guilty?....a tad guilty?....damned guilty? Or maybe just plain guilty?

Not sure I am capable of a *gigantic* anything, but it is nice to contemplate!

Fess up time. I suspect I saw the same Google News link and wondered "Who the Hell...?"

Then I thought "Oh, well, looks like I am going to give him a miss."

That didn't seem too far from "I'm going to miss him." True, right?

Then I considered that some other folks might miss him, so I thought a little BBS post might serve as a little cultural Rorschach test. A blot on the BBS landscape.

It is interesting. We're *all* going to miss Pimp C. Some more than others.
