You guys probably know this already, but just in case...
If you have a PDF file that you send to the printer with Adobe Acrobat and it just hangs (in my case usually a 10 page or larger file) there is a workaround.
Go to the print dialog box, and in the "Advanced" tab, select "Print as image".
Then it will print.
