Man, those are some *seriously* ugly-ass headlights! I can't *imagine* owning a car like that! Silver, too! How pedestrian!!!!

yeah, you're probably right. I wouldn't be caught dead in her, at least not caught by a 330ci or S4

Don't worry, man. Just get yourself some headlights like these:

Heh! Some folks gripe about the WRX headlights, but I have come to like them a lot. And silver *rules*. It is just *such* a fun car for the $$. Congratulations, man!

A tear to my eye! So Jim, what are those lights? You gotta walk me through your alarm remote install too! Both of you, keep an eye on the "Show off you Image Pan" thread in Programming for some WRX related stuff today!:)

Brad,

If you mean the alarm pager add-on, that was easy:

1) Send JC Whitney $50 for pager kit
2) Rip apart console a bit
3) Add Y-connector to car antenna
4) connect transmitter to ground bolt inside console
5) connect + to security horn wire R/Y wire (position #17) on security module (note: wire colors may be different on the harness extension that ties in the module).

I didn't use the glue-on antenna that came with the transmitter. The radio antenna does the job I need -- it woke me up when some local hoods tried to remove my scoop. Not sure whether range is reduced by using radio antenna.

I may upgrade this pager to a multi-channel DEI pager. I plan on adding a pair of Hella FF1000 lights, but I am afraid that they will be a theft target, so I may add another pager activation loop using something like this closed loop sensor so that the pager will go off (without the alarm triggering) if somebody starts taking apart the lights.

Waiting for a wrecked 2002 Impreza to show up at the local Subaru junkyard so can score another fog lamp switch and harness to wire in the Hellas.

FWIW, the skinny wiring shop manual only cost about $30 and has been a great help.

For all Subaru owners... I've attached this logo.raw file. Simply download it, rename it to logo.raw and put it in your /empeg/lib/visuals folder with chmod set to 644.
