A Simple Poll - 25/04/2002 21:19

A little something to make your mind.

The only thing that video could prove is that we never want to hear that song again. And certainly not see the video. (Although I did love the fur coat for some unknown reason.)

By the way, the ``Ooga Chaka'' part is pretty much the definition of non sequitur. Why the hell are they there? Who thought that that would add something to that song? It feels more like a mistake than anything else.

I really don't think the song would be any better without the ooga chakas though. ha ha ha

You're right. I didn't mean to imply that the song had any merits otherwise.

I was honestly wondering about that song, is it one of his real songs? i know he's popular over seas, but does that kind of music really get airplay? farking weird...

i'm losing faith in humanity.

As I watched that video, I could think of only only five words:

DEAR GOD MAKE IT STOP!!!!!

Re: A Simple Poll - 26/04/2002 13:16

is it one of his real songs?

David Hasselhoff did not write that song. It is a cover tune of an awful old '70's number.

After sitting through an excruciating 45 seconds of the video, I can safely say he did not improve it any in the remake.

I kind of like Grand Funk Railroads version of that song.

If that song came out in the 70s, I wasn't alive yet.

so i think i can safely plead ignorance..

DEAR GOD MAKE IT STOP!!!!!

I find it odd you have an OS that needs diving intervention to close a window. I prefer ones that give me a red X in the left, or an X on the right to close and stop annoynances like this

Hasselhoff.... jeezzuz... Bad enough in the original by Björn Skifs (swede) from '74. For some reason the song struck big in the US where the group went by the name Blue Swede.

Hmmm, seems that wasn't the real original, but a remake of a song by a B.J Thomas from 1969 - according to this site

I'm surprised nobody knows this song, especially after the whole dancing baby thing.

I cant believe they actually paid someone to A) come up with the idea, and B) film, edit and composite the video!

I think I might have found my chosen career down easy street
