Usually it is a Javascript code burried in the html. There are tons of Javascript pages that let you do a bunch of neat stuff.

So you can't do it with just a simple html tag? I've learned a little bit of java but not much.

The best way to learn html is to go to a site you like and "View Source" and find out how they did it. Javascript shouldn't be borrowed unless it is from a free site or permission is given (because someone actaully coded it).
