Belated tidings... - 05/06/2002 17:46

To all you Detroit folks out there:

Nyah!

(Since, apparently, no other Raleighites were available for a more prompt ribbing.) (Not that we won't lose in the end.)

I'll second that with a *nyuck nyuck*!

Yeah, but the Carolina Hurricanes are one Dale Ernhardt Jr. race away from drawing 5,000 fans to their playoff games. The concept of ice hockey being played in North Carolina is simply absurd.

I think that in order for a city to have a hockey team, they should be required to correctly identify snow.

We just want to win the cup at home for game 5.

We know what snow is. It's that grey stuff on the ground every couple of winters that makes the cars drive bad.

(I'd much rather have had a baseball team, but no one asked me.)

Oh, and, by the way, it was 99 degrees out yesterday. That broke the old record by 6 degrees, according to the National Weather Service. In addition, the humidity is around 50%, which made the heat index around 115 degrees. We're hoping that we can just make the opposing team pass out when they step out of the airport.

Now you're denigrating my hyper-correctness in addition to my Southern-ness? You, suh, are a bounder and a cad.

I thought it was white when it came down? Shows what us Buckeyes know. Also, don't eat it when it is yellow. If it is white mix a little vanilla in with it and it tastes pretty good.

Maybe it is. It always seems to happen here at night, so we never get a chance to see it come down. It seems to go away when it gets warmer, so maybe it's scared of the daytime. All I know is that it's grey when I see it.

Isn't that when everyone runs to the grocery stores and buys all of the milk, eggs, bread and water as if the end of time was upon us? Then, on the first flake, schools are called off so kiddies can scrape all of the snow in their yard up to make a little gray snowman about 2 ft tall....

anyhow...we didn't fare so well tonight...a 3-1 loss
