Anybody familiar with AudioMagic from YoGen? - 07/06/2002 23:19
So I'm looking for a way to schedule recordings on my pc and convert them to MP3's. Is anyone familar with
AudioMagic? I guess my big concern is with respect to spyware/snoopware in this product. Thanks for any feed back--especially if you've used this app.
Thanks,
Tim

The great thing is, you can install it even if it's got spyware, then have Ad-Aware tell you if there's any spyware in it.
If it has spyware, you can deinstall it and then use Ad-Aware to make sure the spyware is cleaned off.
Alternatively, if it has one of the more common pieces of spyware such as CyDoor, you can use a "dummy DLL" to replace the real CyDoor DLL and the software will work just fine, but with the spyware neutered.

Total Recorder might do what you want.
Also Audiograbber, the MP3 ripping/encoding program, can schedual recordings of the line-in.
