All new Rios preorderable at JandR

For those who haven't already noticed, all the new Rio players, including the heretofore officially unannounced Eigen "Executive" (all-metal version of Nitrus) and Karma 40GB, now can be pre-ordered at JandR.com

Amazon, Best Buy and Circuit City are apparently still working on it.

The Audio guy at CNet Reviews has weighed in with a pretty accurate comparison chart of the players. The only error I could find was calling Karma "Windows only," but is it OK to mention the "Cool Unannounced Feature"?

Is it just me, or does something weird happen when other Mozilla Firebird users mouse over that link?

edit: Bugger! Now I post this it doesn't do it! Anyway, when I moused over it, it copied itself to the right, and kept doing it whenever I moused in and out. I did it until I got a page of links!

I've had that happen to me using mozilla. I'm on Safari now (a first. i'm no mac zealot. yet) so I can't tell if it's still happening.

I suspect it's fine to mention it. Anyone reading the board carefully could figure it out a month or two ago, Mike has described it in much better detail, and the empeg guys brought it up on slashdot. I just didn't want to be the person to provide the initial discription.

any ideas on release dates for 20 and 40 gig karma players?

Well, the 20GB is listed as early Sept., and I'm expecting the 40GB something like 4-6 weeks after that (somebody said Oct. 17, but I'm not sure where they got anything that exact).

I wouldn't pay NY sales tax. I would get it delivered to my friends in Hoboken.
