Prices showing up at local outlets - 22/08/2003 16:21

Today I went to Best Buy and CompUSA. They both have prices up for the 20GB model sitting next to the ipods. $399.99 at Best Buy and CompUSA both. Too bad they didn't actually have any product yet! I used to work a Best Buy. Once things were Planoed and prices went on the shelves, they should have already been there, or in this case, are on order and will be ariving withing 10 business days of signage.

I'm gonna go back in a week to see if they have em yet.

That's interesting that they have the price tags there without a product. Didn't know they did that.

Wonder if it lists features on the tag, and how it looks compared to the ipod on the shelf.

Good. Then I wasn't lying when I told people to check Best Buy over the Labor Day (U.S.) weekend. Gotta love when wild-ass guesses are accidentally on target.

Yeah, it listed the features. Noted OGG Vorbis and FLAC, and the 20GB was sitting right next to the 15GB Ipod for the same price, making it look that much better. Noted the battery life, the dock, ethernet and usb2 as well as audio out.

If I didn't know anything about it, I would be like DAMN that looks awesome, where's the box/!?!? :P
