I thought 3rd gen ipods had all the pc problems sorted out? Is there still an issue?

Dunno. I've got a 2nd gen one. It's just about working now, but I had to buy a new firewire card as the one in my Sound Blaster audigy card didn't get on with the iPod.
I made sure my firewire card also had 2 x USB 2.0 ports ready for my Karma...
Oh, and the software Apple provide for PC users is still pants
