iPod speaker dock, portable speaker dock

While browsing my favorite online computer store (Multiwave - mwave.com), I found this portible iPod speaker dock. There also is a generic mp3 player speaker dock.

Interesting idea. A chance to strengthen the Rio brand by having some audio makers come out with a Rio portable speaker dock? But with the case of each Rio being so different, it'd be tough to make a one-size-fits-all Rio speaker dock. Maybe just a Karma dock? One with adjustable grip or plastic finger grip to take any size? Hm...

i have seen this generic portable speakers/doc for as low as 39 bux on the net.. but it doesnt look nearly as good as the IPOD version.. i wonder how it sounds.. for 39 bux, i might just have to try it.

Weird... I've seen the iPod version, but not the generic.

There even looks to be a panel on the generic version for where the iPod dock would be. If they had the smarts to add some clock radio functionality, I could see myself buying one for each room.
