No More Karma - 17/03/2005 16:15

It seem the karma has hit the end of the line. It's no longer listed on Rio's hard drive player drop down, and even though it shows up on the hard drive player page you can't order one. (Unlike the nitrus. I'm sure they'll be selling a lot of those at $20 more than the carbon price.)

So when does the replacement get announced? Today would seem like a logical day, but Rio Marketing usualy take a contrarian approach...

Another piece of bad news, as mine was just stolen, along with my purse, from my office in a middle school....2 questions: is there any way of retrieving the serial # if one was dumb enough not to record it? and, are there still new ones obtainable someplace? :

I loaded mine up 6 months ago and having changed the music collection on it since, so I'm not too familiar with RMM, but I suspect it has the serial number stored.

You should be able to find them plenty of places online if you buy soon. It seems like prices might have jumped up recently, but you can probably find a good deal somewhere.

Jean,
I seem to recall it gets stored in the windows registery, though this may not be the same serial number that's on the box.
