Does this product really have an advantage over a stereo system that is multi-room capable?
Currently I control my stereo from any room now and play MP3's thru an adapter to the computer wireless.

Yes, you can listen to different music in different rooms. One home server, music for everyone in the house - what they want, when they want it.
You can also pick what you want to listen to more effectively than (almost all?) multi-room systems - searches, artist lists, etc.

Plus, a multi-room stereo usually has a limit to the number of rooms (for instance, two). With the Dell/Rio units, you can keep adding receivers if you like, and you would probably never be able to hit the upper limit unless you owned a hotel.

Make that a large hotel, as we have already fitted out a medium sized one with receivers in every room.
(If anyone wants to fit out a large hotel I'm sure we can tweak the server to your needs)

Does that mean that if I said I was considering buying a hotel, then the fix for the track order would happen sooner? :-)

Well, when I was trying to find a house in Amsterdam, one of the places I looked at was a former backpacker hotel. Loved the 6-car garage, but what would I have done with 24 tiny rooms and 1 shower block?

In Amsterdam, the possibilities are endless!
