JReceiver- features+Install - 29/08/2002 22:11

I want to be able to see what is playing on my Rio on my PC. Also would like to change songs/playlists from my PC. Does JReceiver do this??? What software do I need (client vs server)? The install seems complicated. Is there a simplied explanation of what I need to do (or a batch file I can run)?

I am using HPNA and it doesn't work. My Rio plays like normal, but when I try to open the url, it doesn't find anything. Actually, I unplugged the Rio, and after that, it just sat on "Found Music Server" and wouldn't do anything else.

Really? I'm kind of surprised about that. I'll have to try it one of these days.

Also, I tried RRR and same thing- freezes on "Found Music Server". When I copy back my original ARF everything is fine.

w/ the last version of your app, franks' displayserver patch just causes a glitch/line (several pixals mis-drawn) down the display:(

I got it working!! The displayserver is great- thanks for the work. The problem was HPNA. I used ethernet (sortof- I used the 4 extra wires in my phoneline). Okay- now that I am very happy- here is my wishlist:

-A way to move up and down in a list faster. In other words, "turn the dial" faster. Maybe a way to move 5 at time. It takes a long time to get to the Ms on my title list. Pressing a letter key on the keyboard and it going to that letter would be awesome.

-How about a java app that mimics the Rio remote control?
Okay, I know that is a big request.

P.S.- I can't really use a different client because I use the Rio in my whole house audio system and it is controlled by keypads.
