rebadged dell & alternate clients

has anybody tried the rebadged dell units with alternate clients? i tried it with the displayserver patch & couldn't get it to work. i had 2 other original units using the patch working fine. thanks.

I haven't tried displayserver, but there's definitely an issue where the rebadged Dells won't work with v1.03 software, so that might be the issue.

Paul Noffke's tRio client definitely works, though. That's what I'm using at the moment, so at least some other player software will work.

I was using a rebadged Dell with rioplay client. worked ok.
I think I posted about it at some point.

Maybe I had to boot once under 1.04 server to reflash it or something? Its the garage unit and its been cold, so i'm avoiding the garage
