Sonic Blue GoVideo - 12/03/2003 14:40

Has anyone seen any information on the GoVideo® D2730 Networked DVD (Sonic Blue) scheduled to ship in May 2003, other than what is on the sonic blue webiste?

http://www.sonicblue.com/shop/_templates/item_main.asp?model=168&cat=37

In addition to the standard progressive scan DVD function, what i found interesting was the following:

• Networking — Effortlessly stream audio and video media files, including MP3 and WMA audio files, JPEG image files, and both MPEG1 and MPEG2 video files from your PC to your Living Room

Sounds like a competing product to the Primsiq and a resonable price point for a unit that appears to allowing both streaming audio and video from a PC. The display on the unit is tiny, but maybe it will utilize the attached TV as the display for selecting music, etc. Any thoughts or other info?

There is already a placeholder for it on Amazon:

If it has progressive scan, I would be likely to buy it.

It does have progressive scan. The Sonic Blue website is also taking pre-orders for $299. They indicate an early May ship date.
