WMA Protection, and funky behavior regarding CF - 25/02/2003 15:20

Okay,

So after much hemming and hawing, and reading these forums I got my RR to work on my corporate network. I had ARM discover Media Files on my machine, and despite my over 200 WMA tracks, it only found a handful of them - none of which were actually my music files (it found some downloaded movies that were in WMA format).

AFAIK, this might be because of DRM on WMA files. Does anyone know how I can go about removing DRM on my WMA's without having to re-rip them?

Additionally, I have a compact flash reader that treats CF cards as a real drive. ARM can search them, and builds a playlist from them. I then removed the CF, so ARM remembered the playlist, but didn't copy the files. OY, is all that I can say.

I've been there...commence to rerip...

After that episode I decided never to rip in WMA again...

enjoy...

Rob,

I used unfuck but to no avail. It is odd, because ARM seems to pick up all of the music files on my PC, and it picks up my playlists, but I still can't access them on the receiver!

You don't mention if you can access anything at all. Is the receiver actually working? Can you play Mp3s? ogg?
etc?
