Any harm in using empeg with display disconnected? - 02/08/2002 04:58

Greetings!

Is there any lasting harm to the electronics if I power on and use the empeg without the display board connected? I know that I would have no way of having user input into the player (buttons or remote), but I just want to load up the latest software (b13 & hijack) and sync some new music in place on my other units while their displays journey to Canada. Does anyone see a problem with doing this? I wouldn't think so, but before I tried it I wanted to see if anyone else had before.

No, it'll run quite happily with no display board.

While hooked to your computer (if you use ethernet) I think you could control it with charcoalgrays web interface...

Greetings!

Oh, I know I can. Or through serial. I just wanted to resync the home player (and the test box) with the latest software and music.
