Will clearing the Comments field shrink the db?

I have tons of tracks that have a lot of useless information in the comments field... would clearing these out make my database smaller?

I would say yes. I've removed the comment and a few other fields, and mine shrank a nice bit (don't remember the exact amount off hand).
