headphones, how to ?

Hi,

now that I have the major part of my mp3 collection on my empeg I'd like to free up a bit of space on my notebook (~8GB).
Since the empeg can't drive headphones directly (to low impedance ??) I thought about soldering together something very small.
Any ideas what would be the "correct" solution ?
It's been quite a while since I designed my last circuits ...
