2 issues: Seek tool and display - 29/11/2005 15:07

1. when i change the info page to seek tool i am not able to use the control knob to move to a precise portion of the song. i thought this was possible but now i cant do it

2. The display screen sometimes goes batty and changes from full brightness to dimmer and back again...it is not the due to the settings as if i take the RioCar out of the sled and reinstall it sometimes the movement is enough to correct the problem..

any suggestions?

thanks,

Ed

Try pressing the knob in. If you have Hijack installed, I think you will get a pop-up asking what you want to do. Just select SeekTool.

The seek tool changed between two software versions in regard to what you had to do to seek through the song with the knob. Did you upgrade since the last time you tried?

You might have a loose wire in your installation, perhaps like this, or your player might need the capacitor fix.

If the problem is due to wiring loom troubles, they are inside your dashboard and Stu isn't going to be much help. Unless you're crating up the Miata...

I find it's useful for quickly skipping through commercials on recorded radio shows.
