A little help with connection please :)

I just reformatted my computer and reinstalled emplode 2.00 final but I can't get it to find the player. I am using a usb connection. When I connect the usb to my computer, it does read the hardware and says, "new hardware found, rio car" but when I turn on emplode the flashlight keeps spinning and won't locate the player. Any suggestions on why it is doing this? Thanks!

It also asks me to install the hardware (something that I don't believe I had to do before) when I plug it into my usb port. Is this causing emplode to not locate the player?
