I shortcuted my display - HELP - 21/05/2011 10:46

Hi all

I have the extender board installed, and when I disambled it to test a new placement of the display unit, I accidently put the flat cable connecting the new board to the old display board the wrong way. I also turned the power on, not realizing the error.

It didn't work - and it doesn't work even after fixing the error.

Is it possible to fix it, or is my 11 year old empeg dead?

See the picture to see the cable (it's the small one of course)

Fuses.. fuses.. tiny little surface-mount fuses near the display header. See if you can find them in the FAQ.

The Fuse Replcement link doesnt work or the content in the link shown in the FAQ has had the content removed.

On a slightly different issue, both sides (about 3mm) of my vfd have started to dim. And it appears to be getting worse. Could this be an issue with the fuses? Or is it likely something slightly more grim?

Thank you for the claryfication. I have actually replaced this fuse once before. I think it was Rob (not Schofiel) who sent a couple me - but I cant find the last one.

The Digi Key website is out of stock.

Anyone able to sell a couple of fuses to me, og can provide a link to a product page with the correct fuse? Lot's of simular fuses smile
