Wireless Ethernet via USB? - 19/03/2001 20:10

Hi:

My apologies if this has been posted before. But seaching the BBS yielded no results.

Anyway, does anyone have any insight on using Linksys' 802.11b USB wireless network connection on the Empeg mk2?

Check out the wireless USB card at:

http://www.linksys.com/products/product.asp?prid=174&grid=19

I have seen posts on the apple airport, but it is too big (IMHO) to put in a car. I know it is really a WAP, but the USB deal is too cool not to look into. Custom software, I'm sure, is needed on the Empeg. Question is how hard would it be to write?

Many thanks for any insights you might have.

The USB connector on the EMPEG is a slave connection. I'm pretty sure that the Linksys is going to require a host type port.... and therefore not work.

Sorry.

Search the board for ORINOCO products
