Does anyone have a wiring loom lying around? I have 2 wires pulled out, and need to know which is which so i can get them back in place. What color are the wires for pin 8 and 9?

8 - serial pin 2 (RD)
9 - serial pin 3 (TD)

Thx,
Sean

It looks like pin 8 is blue and 9 is yellow.

Thanks for the help brian. This wiring loom was the warranty replacement for the original one, and the exact same two wires have pulled out again. I contacted empeg support, and they suggest that I order another $130 sled. Instead of spending the money just to have wires pull out again, I thought I would get the fixed and back in place. Now to my next question - how do I get the pins backed out of the connector?

Thx,
Sean

They suggested a new sled for a broken loom??? Was this carsupport, and if so, do you have the emails in question? That isn't what should have been recommended!

If you slip a really thin screwdriver under the pin from the connector side (not the wire side) there is a small tab at the back you need to lift up. The pin then slides out the wire side of the connector. Should all come out really easily. If you need any force you are doing it wrong.

One of the support staff wasn't aware of the policy on wiring looms - he now is. Apologies for the incorrect advice you received.

What is the policy, and what advice should I have received?

Wires falling out of sleds without provocation is a manufacturing fault, and we will fix them for free (even after the warranty expires) if they're sent back to us.
