EEEEEEEEEEEKKKKK!!! - 21/02/2000 05:08

I was syncing a new song to the unit and happened to have a terminal window open. Unfortunatly I wasn't logging what happened, but I remember seeing EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEKKKKKKKK!!!! on about 10 or 15 lines when emplode was starting to actually send the song after the disk checks. What does this mean? I don't remember seeing the typical E server.cpp line at the begining.

This was mentioned before, and Mike gave a detailed scientific explanation

Personally, I was a bit worried about the fabric of spacetime falling apart in my dash, but I haven't suffered any ill effects yet!

Ahh. I was wondering what the unit was doing there. Maybe with mine it started playing the song to it's self to see if I was feeding it anymore weird music. But then it realized I was watching, timetraveled to erase it's log of doing this, and had a problem.

(I personally love some of the error messages the unit will shoot out it's serial port from time to time. I'm still wondering if the "Go away, you don't exist" one is part of shutdown, or something the empeg people put in)

What about - You ain't seen me, roight! ?

That's something what I've seen quite much lately when I've compiled my own programs on empeg. Wonder what the originally mean :)

Its not just the Unit software which has fun messages.
Have a look at the windows software too :-)
Someone should try and release the Linux programmers
