Custom shuffle algorithms?

I thought I once read somewhere about creating custom shuffle modes, but I can't seem to find it anymore.. I've searched the BBS, the FAQ, and the Release Notes.

Am I on drugs again or does someone have a pointer...

I think custom shuffle modes are fully documented in the Developer Info section of the www.riocar.org site. Although I was unable to get them to work properly when I tried it. I suspect that they might be broken in the current betas or something?

As far as I remember, they never really worked as intended and where (hopefully only temporarily) disabled in the later 2.0 betas.
I can't remember where I read the latter though.
