Upgrade Problem - Syncronize cann't see new drive? - 17/03/2002 21:39

I added a 20gig drive for a total of 40 gig. I followed the FAQ step-by-step. When finished, Emplode says that I have 37.1 gig available.

I thought everything was great, until I tried to load my 33 gig MP3 collectiom. I receive an error that I don't have enough space. After scanning the files, emplode says that I have -11(minus eleven) gig available.

What's going on? Both drive0 and drive1 show up when I check it in bash. Also, when I load a small amount of files, I see that they are being placed in the fids directories on both drives.

This is driving me crazy! Can you give me any ideas? I ran the filesystem check and received no errors when I synced.

Thanks for your help,
Mike

do you have playlists in the folders you are putting in to emplode if so the mp3 files may be getting uploaded twice

Please see this FAQ entry.

Most of the albums have a playlist in the same directory (ripped from my CD collection). About 20% don't (ripped from my minidisc collection). This makes perfect sense, considering that it wants to limit me to about 22 gigs!

Thanks so much for the pointer, I'll check it out and let you know!

Thanks again guys. I guess I assumed it was an upgrade problem and got side-tracked. Appreciate your help, you two just saved me from untold amounts of grief.
