Yes, the display boards are interchangeable. The rotary knobs, however, are not.
The Mk2 has a gripper shaft, the Mk2a has a keyed shaft.
Brian has both kinds of translucent knobs available. Don't know if he ships both automatically or if he asks you which kind you need before shipping.

Side note... the gripper button will work with the mk2a, just not vice versa...
