Strange symbol in playlist

Strange symbol in playlist - 02/07/2002 10:26

I tried a "manual injection" of a new file into the playlists;
And it worked .... partially.

After having the database rebuilt by JEmplode the tunes in the old playlist (where I added the new one) were replaced by a "note" symbol.
Looks cute, but I can't select single tunes anymore.

The "Note" symbol indicates that you've got a mixture of sub-playlists and single tunes at that directory level. Its purpose is to make the menu a little cleaner looking.

When you press the "down" button or the "OK" button on that Note symbol, your tunes should appear.

For instance:

- You have a playlist named "Alphaville".

- Inside that playlist is a bunch of loose songs.

- Inside that playlist is also another sub-playlist called "Remixes".

- It's all still there, you just choose the Note icon to go to the loose songs, and you choose the "Remixes" icon to choose the sub-playlist.

Get it?

Got it.

Maybe I should get some sleep at least once a week

But I had mixes of sub-playlists and tunes (withing one playlist) before and I can't remember ever seeing this symbol.
On the other hand ... I never go that deep in the playlist.

II think I was just confused - after JEmplode changed the "tunes" to the symbol.

So my "injection" is workling after all.

Thanks.

after JEmplode changed the "tunes" to the symbol.

Jemplode didn't do that. It's the way the player software presents its menus. All Jemplode did was create the playlist tree the way you told it to.

But I had mixes of sub-playlists and tunes (withing one playlist) before and I can't remember ever seeing this symbol.

It's possible that this feature was only implemented in software version 2.0 and later. Although I'm not sure.
