Surely the Rio Receiver's got a similar DSP to the one in the Empeg Car, right?

I could really use an equalizer on the Rio Receiver. It's driving a pair of really nice ceiling-mount speakers, but there are some hot spots in their frequency response I'd like to iron out.

I could do this with an external EQ, but if it's in the DSP already, it'd be cooler to do it right on the Receiver's front panel.

I know the user interface would be strange. It's kind of tough even on the Empeg Car, but it's usable.

No, the receiver has no DSP, just a normal DAC.

In theory, there may be enough CPU left over to run a simple EQ, but this is unlikely to get added to the current product IMHO - we'd prefer a bit more CPU headroom.

So how are you doing bass and treble, then?

We're running a _really_ simple EQ in software, IIRC.

Nice idea, but priority wise I can think of many things that need fixing first.
