HI,

I downloaded the full ver of the software upgrade with the CDDB, but the file seems to be corupted. I download it twice just to double check.

The upgrade ver of the software without the CDDB works fine.

Can the Central support the Rio Cali?

Same for me on the corrupted file....I also tried it twice....Thanks to the folks for the new software, I'm sure they'll fix the file when they get wind of this...

Yay for other people

Mine woudn't work with the non database file. The image burns and when I stick the cd in the central it tries to upgrade and errors out saying the disk is bad or something.

downloading as we speak... i'll let you guys know what happens...

1.10 upgrade worked with the non-cddb file
(I upgraded, and can play music)

I used:

win2k
easy cd creator 5.3.2.34
cheapo generic cdr media.

I'll probably fire up the receiver later today.

I just loaded up the software yesterday and it works great. My rebaged Rio Receivers can now receive music from my Rio Central.

I used Disc Juggler and burned a copy of the software update image.

Yeah, I had the same problem. I tried to reburn but no success. Next time I try I will get the error message written down but I kinda gave up...

Are you sure you didn't already upgrade it? I tried to "upgrade" it again to 1.10 (I thought I hosed the install) but it wouldn't install and gave an error about a bad or corrupted disk. I then tried my 1.02 manufacturer's disk and got the same error.

Check the "about" screen and see what it says.

Just a thought...

I tried burning the disk again with nero this time I still get the error.

Here's the exact message:
There was an error applying the upgrade (status 0xc0044000)
CD may be damaged or incorrectly written.

All I am doing it opening the .iso with nero and clicking burn. Then when I do the upgrade I just upgrade not the format and upgrade option. I am using the non CDDB version.

Any idea what I am doing wrong ?

I'm having the exact same problem as msaeger. I used WinXP and some veritas burner software.???

I'll try downloading again, but my guess is, that's not the problem. Any word on whether the cddb is a newer version?

Yeah, that is the error I receive trying to upgrade the CDDB or the non-CDDB version. I finally realized that the upgrade only adds some functionality for "Dell-branded" Rio Receiver support and some links to some older Rio portable players. If it uplinked to the new Rio(DNNA) products I would try harder I guess.

I finally realized that the upgrade only adds some functionality for "Dell-branded" Rio Receiver support and some links to some older Rio portable players.

And it also fixes the bug which causes it to reboot during multiple-CD-record. That is a very important bug fix to me.

Ahh, forgot that one... I have not used this feature yet. I am still ripping the ole' fashion way... Load CD in computer, wait for winblows to recognize disk, hit winblows recognitions cancel then rip CD to hard drive then recode Id3 tags...
