This just Slashdotted: Nissan's 1394 Car

No idea how much power a 1394 optical PHY uses, but this somehow seems like a step in a good direction. Someday my Empeg will be in the trunk!

A few years ago, when working with some fiarly high end Lucent fiber transport gear, I found that the "LAN" that tied all of the beasts together was 1394. You go!
