For those of us who are worried that the Empeg visuals are potentially distracting...

Check out the Kenwood P907.

It's a single-DIN in-dash CD receiver with a fold-out high-rez color video touch screen. It includes a TV tuner with a quad-diversity antenna input. It'll also take video and audio input from external sources such as portable DVD players.

I mean, I can see such a device in the back seat, or in an RV. But putting it in the dash sounds downright nuts. I wonder what disclaimers they include?

They probably make you enter your social security number and then timestamp it and store it in a protected black box unit located behind the dash -- so that their butts are covered if you wreck your vehicle and then try to sue them because you were stupid enough to watch TV instead of driving.

Seems to be the trend these days, I hear...

I think it'd do a great job for me 'cause I always have to wait for my girlfriend

That's a common problem.

;-)
Because of that - what do you think about building in some games into the empeg? Or a coffee machine?
I think the visuals are good entertainment in the beginning of having an empeg. Hopefully I won't give them more attention than the street while driving
