Text To Speech – Available?

Does anyone know if a text to speech program has been perfected for the empeg that will read a song title, artist or other info. with the push of a button on the remote? I’ve read through a few threads on this subject and it looks like some people have attempted this and may have even succeeded. However in the software download section I see no mention of how to install a program. Perhaps it’s not ready yet or may be too complicated for the average non-Linix programmer?

If anyone has a program ready, and it can be installed relatively easily (no kernel hacking for the installer) I would like to know.

I’m looking forward to that program. I can then tell my friends my stereo talks to me and they won't think I'm crazy :-) well, as least not for that reason.
