mirrordb v0.2 - 13/12/2001 04:21

New version, which silently skips existing links, so you'll only have to throw the whole tree away if you delete songs from the empeg. This version also create a .m3u file in each directory. It currently only contains the songs in that playlist, in the immediate future it will also contain the songs in the sub-playlists, if any.

Has anyone tried it yet?

Small bug fix: the previous version added a '-' to the end of the names of the links it created.

For those of you wondering what this is: it's a program that you can upload to your empeg and run there, which will then create a mirror of your playlist structure composed of a tree of subdirectories and symbolic links to the actual MP3 files in the fids directories. You can then export that tree with NFS, FTP or samba and access your music from your PC according to the playlist structure you created.
