Yes.
There are plans for an "init sequence" of button presses to be executed on startup, specified in config.ini. Perhaps seperate sequences for CAR / HOME.
These could be used to do what you want, and more..
Not implemented yet.. I'm working on an ftp server right now.

I too, would love to be able to set the unit to automatically startup with one of the visuals running. It's irritating having to change that every time...
