Hijack feature rqst: Lock all files except one - 06/02/2002 10:40

I like the idea that I can set the config.ini to not allow anyone access to my RioCar. But, on the / dir, I put an index.html so that you can just type http://x.x.x.x and it'll get the menu of songs without typing in all the other drive0 stuff. If I turn on this no file access, I can't get to that index.html.

Is there any way that we can make it so that the root will igve you the index of playlists vs the root of the drive? Maybe a config option like httpd_root_playlist=1 or something. If its off, it'll give you the root of the drive like it does now.
Right now I have to leave the file viewing on, so I can just give the http://ip url out instead of that extended url.

You mean like "khttpd_dirs=0". This turns off directory browsing. maybe that's not what you need, but the thread about Hijack v168 explains other options that might work for you.

I guess that I want to disable files with khttpd_files=0 but also have the ability to get to my playlists without all the /drive0/finds stuff. I'd like to be able to just goto http://1.2.3.4 and get what I would usually get from http://1.2.3.4/drive0/fids/101?.html. The option of khttpd_root_playlist=1 would do this and when its set to 0 it would just give you access to the root of the drive like it is now.

What about khttpd_files=0, and calling the playlist via http://yourempeg/?playlists. If my memory serves, that's the way to get playlists now. That whole http://1.2.3.4/drive0/fids/101?.html thing is, like, so five days ago.

Ok cool. Didn't know that. Yeah, that works for me. Thanks!
