Not sure if this is a HiJack bug, or kernel bug... - 06/03/2002 16:14

I am running the 2.00 beta 11 kernel, as well as the latest release of Hijack 231. I have an MK2a 30GB unit.

I noticed in the last 10 HiJack versions, that anytime I try to upload say 15+ songs at a time via Emplode, that it freezes up when its time to "reset" the unit. It just sits at the restarting player box (after the songs are uploaded) and never comes back, it eventually times out and generates an error on the PC.

The player has a blank face, the standby light is flashing, and no buttons/remote functions work.

The only fix Ive found so far is to power cycle the unit (which I hate doing.) I can then re-sync, and since the "uploading" of songs is done, it just fixes the play lists and all is well.

Anyone else have this problem, or know of this happening?

Is there a fix?

This bug is reportedly fixed in the internal player builds. Perhaps Peter or Roger can confirm?

Hi!
I am having exactly your same problem with the 2b11.
The problem was there before I uploaded the Hijack. Can't tell yet whether things are different now... I'll try to upload new songs tomorrow...

I had the same problem, but only when the empeg was on and was playing songs.
Keeping it in standby mode, I was able to upload ~12gb of songs in small batches of 600mb without any problem.
