Okay, this is CL!

Now.. we just need a winning entry in the Hijack Animation Contest, to become the kernel default.

Perhaps Tony will update Waving-Tux for us, or maybe someone else will win the day. Either of those outcomes is preferable to having me create the upcoming Hijack default animation..

Perhaps I should do it anyway, just to inspire others..

Cheers

Here's my first animation for you

This animation thing IS cool It took awhile to get it right but I just made a flashing text of my initials like a neon sign.
It seems or maybe supposed to be this way but if I select text then write something on the screen try to add the frames they are blank. If I write the text then select then add the frames it works, if I try to select the text then move it around the text in the right pane stays the same. It'll take me awhile but I'm gewtting the hang of this thang. Side note, the text font selecter stays the same on most fonts there are a few that do change in the font sample.
BTW-the animation .raw file you just posted do you just open and upload the file from the animater?

Re: jEmplode 27 - 16/03/2002 20:14

Make sure to hit enter or change tools to "commit" the text to the frame (you'll see it switch from hi-res to a low-res version). At that point, the sequence list should update. If you select and move around, you need to hit enter for the frame to update (again, to "commit" the selection). I'm still cleaning up the UI, so some of these oddities will work themselves out over time ... You should be able to Open ... choose the .raw file, then just Upload it to your Empeg. Mike

Hey I just tried to upload the hijack animation you posted via USB to my other player & get an error. Even though I have the 'use hijack when possible' checked and the player is a 'Hijacked player' I get the error in animater when I try to upload the file. Can you not use USB to upload the animations?

I just switched my Ethernet/USB connections and it did upload via Ethernet to the other player.
Oh very cool animation.

Nope -- You have to have an ethernet connection to be able to communicate with Hijack. I should update the error message to include that (it has to be able to FTP to your Empeg). Mike

Okay, cool animation. But it ran a bit long, and other screens in the boot-up sequence overlapped a bit. So I trimmed a few frames to my liking, and it's now in Hijack v244 as the default animation.

Thanks!
