EQ in HOME and in CAR

EQ in HOME and in CAR - 01/06/2002 07:17

Since my car and my home are completely different music listening enviorments,
I have tweaked the EQ presets considerably. Now I have 2 'PERFECT" EQ settings.
#1 is for the car #2 is for the house....
Finally, they sound great.

I was thnking maybe in config.ini :
[hijack]
@DC; EQ=1
@AC; EQ=2

I read this and I think I was missing something.

But now I think I understand that EQ settigs 1-16 in the house are unique to eq settings 1-16 in the car.
So are there are really 32 different eq settings ? - 16 for AC power and a different 16 for DC power.
Can anyone confirm this ?

I don't know if the "EQ=x" part is a valid player setting, but what I do know is that player settings do NOT belong under the [hijack] section. Just put it where it would normally go in config.ini, and use the "@AC;" and "@DC;" prefixes as you please.

Cheers

I tried to make it as clear as possible in that FAQ entry you linked. Guess it wasn't clear enough.

Just place the unit in the car and copy the preset details for #1 into the #2 slot. And/or plug the unit in at home and copy the preset details for #2 into the #1 slot. The leave it.

One thing I don't know...

Version 2.0 has a "copy" feature for EQ presets. But I don't know if this will copy only the details for the current personality, or if it will copy the "home" details when the unit is plugged into the car... Anyone?
