Hijack v276

Hijack v276 - 12/06/2002 06:30

Well, for those who have not upgraded in a while, now is the time to do so. Hijack has been reasonably stable for the past few versions, and this new one includes a small fix for the startup message.

Please download and install v276, and let me know ASAP if you see any issues with it.

Cheers

I've had trouble with anything past v254, but I'm doing a fresh build and will give this a shot....

Mmm.. you'll have to elaborate more on those "troubles".

I know the buttonLED illumination has been slightly flakey, but I'm not sure if that's just a "feature" of the PIC.

Mark, to be honest, I forget. I remember PM'ing you on it, and ended up concluding it was probably the fault of my player. The player did end up having a bad chip on it and also I've done like 5 disk upgrades and 1 player swap... so it might be some little thing corrupted here or there...

IIRC, it had something to do with locking up on a sync... it would cause file system corruptions so I would have to fdsk often... It would eat up my whole day..

Re: Hijack v276 - 13/06/2002 10:06

Yeah, I see that too, sometimes. Only on Mk2a units.

It comes and goes with releases, and I don't know exactly what the cause might be. Most recently it appeared again as of the first Hijack with the "Screen Blanker Action" feature.

Harmless enough, I suppose.

I've had it also after an official Empeg update - usually just the first reboot right after the update has been applied.

It always happens on my mk1 after an upgrade -- no matter what I flash it with. It's only there for the first reboot, though.
