Hijack v277: the Lucky Sevens release

Hijack v277: the Lucky Sevens release - 28/06/2002 10:28

Okay, I'm back (for an hour), and here's the Hijack Release Of The Day (Hour?).

v277 fixes a rare "jiffies" bug in Hijack, which has a very slight chance of having been the cause of occasional "unexpected standby transitions" with Hijack installed.

The bug is so rare in occurance that I doubt it ever affected anything, but hey! It's fixed now.

Cheers

AHA. We were wondering about that! I think I even have a "player unexpectedly dropped into standby" thread in Bug Reports.

Hijack v278 - 28/06/2002 11:56

Okay. Another hour, another Hijack.

This one has Tonys "remount message" change, and also increases the simulated longpresses from the button translator by 10% (1.1 seconds instead of 1.0 seconds).

Hey, as long as it motivates Mark to do more good things with Hijack, I'm with it.

Re: Hijack v277: the Lucky Sevens release - 28/06/2002 19:14

Someone tried to start that rumor once before. Ah, the guy is married, and married guys just make great friends, that is all
I haven't made one hijack request yet but maybe I should just to see if it get's implemented.

I'm really just being nice in hopes he'll come to my meet so I can take advantage of him and have him do the button hack for me. (Just kidding)

Sorry, didn't realize Mark was married at that moment. Now that you mention it, though, I should have, as he's said so before. I just have a terrible short-term memory.

Re: Hijack v277: the Lucky Sevens release - 30/06/2002 22:01

memento reference?

That was a great flick.

I was discussing it with a friend who rented the DVD and had the idea of watching the chapters in reverse order to make the plot line run forward instead of backward. But then the telephone conversations that opened each chapter (which are forward in the film) would then be backward. So we decided the only way to make complete sense of the movie is to rip it into Premeire and re-sequence it completely.

Not that the movie was incomprehensible by any means, it's just that there's a few details that are hard to nail down...

Or you could just buy the special edition version that has a feature that puts all the scenes in forwards chronological order.

Just turned 31 - (although I had to subtract 1971 from 2002 to figure it out) but still feel much younger. Apparently I look much younger too (even with 2 children under 2 years old I haven't succumbed to the eye sockets looking like piss-holes in the snow thing yet.

"with a combined age of more than 200 years"

I always get a real kick out of that kind of statement...I see it so much in advertising in law firms and such...kinda like a company with 400 employees that have been there for a year each...

"Put 400 years of experience to work for you! - Bloggins Law Firm" ha ha
